First of all, thanks for a fun run. Sorry I got a little busy towards the end. I wanted to do more updates, but my 11-month-old vehemently disagreed that I should have any time for hobbies. We had a total of 38 paid entries. Hopefully we can garner a few more next year.
Speaking of next year, I am going to attempt to make it more automated for everyone. My hope is you'll just have some dropdowns that will get integrated into an excel sheet automatically. This should help avoid any further Sweetwater IPA related typos from yours truly, which was an issue this year.
Now, on with it...
Our champion this year is Bryan Hart Man. Of course he wins this in his first year playing. Bryan ended up with 657 points, which is about 80 lower than last year. The average winning entry over the years is 709.1.
In second was reigning champion and Your Only Two Time Winner™, Scott Peterson. Scott dropped 640 points in the bucket this season.
In third is P Rodski, who was finished just 2 points shy of Scott at 638 points.
The best possible score this year was 859 points.
For tournament PPG MVP, Clayton Custer stands out with his 61 points. The second highest 11th seed scorer was Syracuse's Tyus Battle with 43 points. 8 players selected Custer. On average, an 11th round selection netted you 24.88 points.
In consideration is also Mo Wagner, but his 90 points only edged out teammate Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman's 86 points. On average, a 3 seed netter 48 points. Only the 1 seeds gave a better average with 53, which would be much higher had Virginia not hilariously crashed in the first round.
Butler's Kelan Martin dropped 56 points and 13 people wisely selected him. The average 10 seed on our list scored 22 points. It's not a coincidence that Bryan's team had both Custer and Martin. That's where you make your money, kids.
The 4th seed on average only paid out an anemic 17 points per selection. Johnathan Williams lead the way with only 36. 8 dummies got burned by his teammate Killian Tillie, who just stopped playing basketball in March apparently. Not that I'm bitter.
That's all I have time for today! Already looking forward to next year where Bryan has promised me charts and visuals since I convinced him to play at the last second.
