Day Four Update

 DAY FOUR UPDATE

FULL LEADERBOARD

After our first weekend, our leading entry is Scott Peterson with 537 points. Scott's squad is holding strong with Max Abmas out of the 15 seed and Buddy Boeheim out of the 11 seed spots contributing 55 each. Scott did just lose Luka Garza, who is his number 2 seed.

Right behind him is Greg Ciesielski with 524 points. His remaining lineup is so similar to Scott's, but he can catch Scott if USC's Evan Mobley continues to get buckets.

In 3rd with 515 is Adam Cummings. It might be the end of the road for Adam's team as he's lost his 1-4 seeds.

The Day 4 high scorer was Jeff Crose III. Jeff gets his entry fee back.

Day Three Update

 DAY THREE

I picked a terrible day to drive home instead of camping in front of a television. Lots of wild endings and so many options out there for teams in this pool who picked the right underdogs.

For an update, the Day 2 Bonus winner was Jeff Crose III. I'll be sending his entry back to him.

The Day 3 Bonus winner is Bill Bosta, who narrowly beat out his own child for a return on his entry fee.

Here is the updated scoreboard:

Day 1 Scores

I'm on the road, so brief update. Congrats to Coach Plod for setting the day 1 high score and getting his entry fee back.

Sorry for the small screenshot. Working off of my phone isn't ideal!

We're Live!

 LET'S GOOOOOOOooOOO

Good luck not checking the updates more than the announcers mention Cameron Krutwig's mustache. It has it's own Twitter account.

CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK TO THE SCOREBOARD

Each team has a tab. Are they in alphabetical order? No. They're in the order I received them for now. I might change the tab order, but want to make sure I don't break anything by doing so.

Please double check to make sure your team is correct. Email me with any questions.

2021 Entry Form

ENTER BELOW AT YE OWN RISK (AND BY OWN RISK I MEAN $10 AN ENTRY)

Here are the rules:

Player Rules

If the format below is weird because I suck at blogging, then click this link to enter

2021 Player Pool Rules

Good news: I've remembered my log in info and was able to access this blog.

Bad news: It's encouraging me to write and now you have to read it.

The rules are posted on the entry form, but let's place them here as well:

Welcome to NCAA Player Pick 'Em Pool. The rules are simple: You select one player from each seed and their points become your points. Whichever team accumulates the most points at the end of the tournament wins. Tie-Breaker is whoever guesses closest to the championship game score.

Blog for updates: http://nppep.blogspot.com/

Each entry is $10. The pool will be split 70-20-10 with a minimum of 10 entries. Less than 10 entries and winner receives entire pool. Your moderator receives nothing in return because he is a hero. This year we will cap this at 50-60 entries.

Money can be sent to my paypal: paypal.me/smsetnor or venmo: shanemsetnor. It must be sent tip-off on Friday, March 19. Please leave a note that states which entry yours is. That's important.

Please select one player from each seed. If you want a player not on the list, please select "Write In."

IMPORTANT: I have not checked the listed players for injuries. I just scraped the top two PPG guys from each roster. Manually. While sipping a beer in Key West by the pool. It was a hard day. If you realize you need to replace an injured guy, email me at smsetnor@gmail.com. If that team hasn't played yet, happy to make the change.

If a team is knocked out with covid before they play and after you enter, send me an email with your changes. If there is a player on a team that is out at the last second and you didn't catch it, I will switch your entry to the next highest scoring teammate that plays. This applies to day 1+2 only.

If you are choosing a "Write In", fill in the short answer with that write-in name. You may write in as many as you wish. Please use the format: SEED, PLAYER NAME, SCHOOL. Example: "1, Geoff Setnor, Notre Dame"

The play-in game stats do not count. If you need to change from a player that you selected from the play in list because that player lost, you must email me at smsetnor@gmail.com before tipoff on 3/19 with a replacement player. Don't FB message me, text me, or Myspace message me with the change. It has to go to my smsetnor@gmail.com email.

Once I have all the entries input into my Excel machine, I will send them out for everyone's review. You can even play along at home. The plan is to show updates via http://nppep.blogspot.com/
