There's a great line in Flight of the Conchord's stand-up during their performance of the Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros where the fellas do some audience interaction. At one point they tell all the ladies in the audience to say, "Oh Flight of the Conchords, you're so big!" After they do that, they break from their rap battle in fake modesty and thank the crowd for saying such a kind thing.
I bring that up because I'd like everyone in the pool to see who's in first on the first day and say out loud, "Wow. Great job, Shane. King of Day 1."

If you picked Ja Morant you're feeling pretty good about getting a 12 seed into the second round. To make you feel less good, he was selected on an incredible 36 of 42 entries. If you picked his opponent Markus Howard, you like those 26 points, but losing a 5 seed is a tough break. There are 12 of us feeling that pain right now.
Another favored team that lost is Nevada. Caleb Martin (selected 13 times) had an off night despite dropping 19 points. Fellow 7 seed Louisville is also feeling the pain and so are the 6 participants who selected Louisville players. That means it was a nice day for the 16 entries who picked Florida or Minnesota players with their 10 seed.
