There is nothing wrong with the movie Spotlight. I think it's a very well made movie with some incredible performances that takes on an important issue. But it was not the best film of 2015.
That, my friends, is Mad Max: Fury Road.
MMFR is 120 minutes of absolute chaotic perfection where not a moment is wasted. Director George Miller fully leaned into the manic and raw nature of the film's world-building and allowed actors, set designers, and prop makers full artistic license to make whatever they wanted in this world. The end product is a schizophrenic grouping of characters that fit together like jagged puzzle pieces.
We live. We die. We live again. Shiny and Chrome. That is March Madness.
The chaos.
The unity.
The excitement.
Your team goes down. Your bracket gets busted. You despair. But you rise from the ashes the next year, Shiny and Chrome hoping to reach March Madness Valhalla.
In our first round, we had an exciting finish for the most points. Scarecrow Boat narrowly edged Go BLUE! by one measly point. Scarecrow Boat, who can't quite settle on a name, hit 6 of the top scorers in the opening round.
In the second round, Patrick Jones lead all entries with an outstanding 183 points. In second with 181 was Go BLUE!. Just a tough break to be the bridesmaid twice in a row. Patrick Jones hit 9 leading scorers through the first two round, but was left with just 3 players going into the Sweet 16.
Patrick Jones and Scarecrow Boat will both get their entry fees back.
Going into the Sweet 16, Go BLUE! was on top with 493 points. In second was Scarecrow Boat with 486 points. In the bronze spot was Patrick Jones with 458. Our Dumb Projection System really liked biake, bostabrg, and Start a Nuclear War to jump up the rankings and make some noise.
After the Sweet 16, the leaders were Patrick Jones and Scarecrow Boat tied for first and biake in 3rd.
After the Elite 8, biake is now in the lead with 654 points. Right behind him is Patrick Jones with 634. Coming in like Leroy Jenkins is bostabrg with 616 points.
