A Stoppable Force and a Movable Object

A Stoppable Force and a Movable Object

Hey, bub. Adamantium can pierce anything, but it looks like I'm
tickling you. This is a paradox.

The earliest known reference to the paradox "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object" originated in Eastern philosophy around the 3rd century. Originally, the objects were thought to be a spear that could pierce any object vs a n unpierceable shield. This paradox is debated throughout the centuries before the debate peaked in 1982 when Knight Rider featured and episode where K.I.T.T. faced off against K.A.R.R

But has anyone ever discussed what would happen is a stoppable force met a movable object? Because that is what would happen if Wisconsin's offense played against Florida's defense. I don't know if I've ever seen two teams so committed to being the worst possible version of a Power 5 team (including Vanderbilt Football) than those two teams yesterday. I think Colorado scored against Florida on every possession for about 48 minutes of game time despite there only being 40 minutes in a game. Florida was so into playing bad defense that even their coach wanted in on it, so he got T'd up, which lead to more Colorado points. If you look outside of your window right now, you'll see another Wisconsin player turning the ball over. Just dropping the ball right into your front yard.

Florida dropping out knocks out 11 entries, though Walter Clayton Jr. gave us a hell of a show to go with his 33 points. AJ Storr, on the other hand, left 10 entrants disappointed with his lousy 13 points, which is 6 less than the team's 19 turnovers. Sounds like that Storr is Going Out of Business. Sounds like that Storr is closed. Sounds like that Storr was bought by venture capitalists and stripped to the bones and sold for parts.

18 entrants with Colorado's KJ Simpson and his 23 points are happy today. 13 entrants with Terrence Edwards of James Madison are also happy, but not as happy because his 14 points are less than 23. #stats #analysis

Meanwhile, Purdue's Zach Edey looked like one of the adults in those mascots vs kids football games while he cruised to 30 easy points for 21 entries.  Alabama's Mark Sears was able to match Edey's 30 with 30 of his own. I only wish that my dad, the most loyal Sears Man in history, could have lived to see the Sears name give it one last go.

SDSU's Jaedon Ledee dropped 32 against the UAB Blazers, which was great for 15 entries. Only one entry selected UAB's Yaxel Lendeborg. I guess that entry is Knocking on Heaven's Door. But with so much choas, maybe they just need a little Patience. So Don't Cry yet, CoachPreach.

Finally, someone from Yale catches a break. 4 entries had Yale players and will now benefit from ding what red-blooded capitalists have been doing for ages: hitching their wagons to Ivy Leaguers and hoping for the best. Auburn's loss takes out hurts 17 entries, though Johni Broome's 24 points are a nice parting gift that you wouldn't want to sweep under the rug.

Currently in first place and getting their entry fee back is IlliniVan with 349 points. That entry is currently and crudely projected to finish 10th with seven players still remaining. I'll get you that entry fee once I do some accounting on Monday!

Tied for second is Tony Bennett 4 Life with 346 points, which is definitely 275 more points than the real Tony Bennet can comprehend. Seriously, his brain breaks somewhere around the number 70 and UVA has to reboot him. It's big hassle and a drain on the State of Virginia's taxes. Tony Bennet 4 Life is projected to finish 4th with nine players left.

Whatdude1 also has 346 points, but has a tougher hill to climb with only seven entries left. However, that entry still has their top 4 seeded players.

Projected to finish first is the 2021 champion Biake, who currently has 334 points. Biake has nine platers left including 6 of their 7 top seeds.

Dorsey's First Round has an astounding 12 players left, but only has 282 points thus far.
