Don't Panic Meow

Don't Panic Meow

Sorry Kentucky fans and to the 13 entries who selected a Kentucky player. Actually, like Sir-Mix-a-Lot, I cannot lie. Unlike his affinity for rounds things in his face, I will admit to enjoying the suffering of Big Blue Nation. For the entries that did go with UK, Antonio Reeves was kinds enough to donate 27 points to your cause on his way out. Huzzah to the 9 entries who chose an Oakland Grizzly.
Also, making the Meow joke has brought to my attention that Broken Lizard is making a third Super Troopers movie. Seriously. I know the second wasn't great, but if you were in college between 1999 and 2007, you owe it to them to go watch.

Outside of UK (who lost btw), this was the worst day to be a Six since Joey Russo rejected Six LeMeure's advances in the early 90's. Not a single 6 seed won yesterday, leaving the 7 entries who selected Clemson players with a possible advantage. Jaxson Robinson can go home to his wife and kids (assuming) knowing that he left 9 entries with 25 points.

Number Ten seeds aren't generally favored and all three that played yesterday were knocked out. Tough day for those of us who are Missouri Valley fans who believe that it should have been a Two Bid Valley year. Although I was happy to see a foul actually called on Drake. There are 8 entries with KJ Simpson of Colorado left and they might hold a slight advantage.

Speaking of the Missouri Valley, at least Evansville got a shout out yesterday during the Morehead State game. Turns out that after the OVC championship, the security at the Ford Center (a gem of a stadium!) locked the poor basketball assistant in the stadium and he had find his way out and then climb a fence. About the only thing more Evansville would have been if he had to survive on nothing but fried food and Ski Soda.

Going down to the Eleven Seed, we might have our Round One MVP in Jermaine Cousinard, who dropped 40 points yesterday. Incredible value at the 11 seed for IlliniVan and John Soukup!

Achor Achor with the 13th seeded Samford bulldogs was kind enough to leave 23 entries with 23 points. Achor Achor. 23 23. I appreciate his commitment to the bit.

For our leaderboard, Jwclem2 is sitting in first and is only missing one team in his top 8.

Better Late Than Never is in second and is currently projected to finish first. He's also missing that number 6 seed.

In third is John Soukup who is missing his 6 and 8, but has Oakland for his 14th spot.

   Good luck out there, kids.
